Hair highlights are lighter strands woven through the hair, usually lifted with foils or caps, to add dimension and brightness.
What it is
Sections of hair are lightened or coloured separately from the rest. Foil highlights give a more defined, even placement than freehand techniques.
What to expect
Appointment length depends on hair length and the shade you want. Regrowth lines can show sooner than with blended techniques, so touch-ups are usually more frequent.
