Microblading
Also known as: eyebrow embroidery, semi-permanent brows
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique where fine hair-like strokes of pigment are placed in the skin of the brow with a handheld tool.
What it is
A trained artist uses a small blade-like tool to deposit pigment in the upper layer of skin, creating hair-like strokes. It is semi-permanent and fades over time.
What to expect
A first session often takes two to three hours, with a touch-up visit after several weeks. Brows can look darker at first and then soften as they heal.
What to ask before booking
Check training, hygiene standards, local regulations and the artist's healed-results portfolio. It involves breaking the skin, so discuss any skin conditions, allergies or health concerns first.
