Question 1

What is GlowNearMe?

Accepted Answer

GlowNearMe is a beauty and wellness marketplace and SaaS platform operating across Malaysia and Singapore. It connects clients with verified salons, stylists, nail artists, and massage therapists for both in-studio appointments and mobile home-visit services.

Question 2

Does GlowNearMe operate in both Malaysia and Singapore?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GlowNearMe operates in both Malaysia (using Malaysian Ringgit, MYR) and Singapore (using Singapore Dollars, SGD). Users select their home country upon signup, and search results, pricing, and tax settings stay locked to that local market.

Question 3

How are beauty and wellness professionals verified?

Accepted Answer

Every professional on GlowNearMe must be manually verified before their public storefront goes live. Salons submit their SSM (Malaysia) or ACRA (Singapore) business registration, while independent practitioners submit their identity card (IC). Documents are securely encrypted.

Question 4

How do mobile home-service appointments work?

Accepted Answer

Customers can select home visits from eligible professionals. The platform checks whether the customer's address is within the provider's designated service radius and automatically calculates travel fees (either a flat fee or per-kilometre rate) alongside service costs before booking.

Question 5

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Each booking follows one of three clear policies: Flexible, Moderate, or Strict. Customers can make one free reschedule before the cutoff time. If an appointment is cancelled by the provider, the customer always receives a 100% full refund. Unpaid 10-minute holds cancel automatically.

Question 6

How much does it cost for salons and beauty professionals?

Accepted Answer

Professionals can start on a Free plan that includes up to 10 confirmed bookings per month, 5 active services, and 10 portfolio photos. Salons needing more bookings, multi-staff logins, or unlimited fair-use can upgrade to Pro Monthly or Pro Yearly plans.

Question 7

Can I pay online with credit card, FPX, or PayNow right now?

Accepted Answer

Online payment collection (Cards, FPX in Malaysia, PayNow in Singapore, and GrabPay) is currently in a preparatory launch readiness stage while financial safeguards and automated reconciliations are finalized. In the current phase, appointments use 10-minute unpaid holds.
